Steven Hartanto

Steven serves as the Chief Business Officer of Maple Materials, where he leads strategic finance, business development and business operations. Prior to joining Maple, Steven was a VP of Special Projects at 8090 Industries, a venture capital firm focused on industrial decarbonization, where he led due diligence on five of their investments. Steven began his career at Cherokee Investment Partners, a $2B private equity firm focused on environmental opportunities. During his 10 years at Cherokee, Steven oversaw their internal $500M venture portfolio, where he sourced, transacted and managed over 30 investments in disruptive environmental businesses. In addition to his finance background, Steven also held strategy and operations leadership roles at Zocdoc, a healthcare technology company, and Industrial Heat, an energy fusion technology firm.
