Drew Reid

Drew, is a self-taught engineer and entrepreneur. Prior to co-founding Maple Materials, Drew founded Saratoga Energy Corporation, a Y combinator-backed company where the foundational research behind Maple Material’s CO2-to-graphite process was developed. Under his leadership, Saratoga Energy Corporation was awarded over $3M in grants from the DOE and NSF, and developed a portfolio of solid carbon products derived from CO2 including graphite, carbon nanotubes, graphene, and carbon black. Drew began his career in the financial industry as an Investment Advisor for Morgan Stanley where he raised and managed over $20M in private client assets and specialized in clean technology investments. Drew holds a B.A. in Art History from the University of Virginia.
